This video has been sat on my other channel with 85 subs for a while now but I wanted to share it with you guys. I've never really been much of a singer but it's something I really enjoy doing. I used to sing and play guitar in a pop punk band which was such a laugh! I wrote this song after we split up. It's been nearly 10 years since then and we've recently just started playing music again together! Give us a follow on insta @the.basilisks to see what we're up to :)
We got the dog, but we never got the clock
It didn't matter because we thought that this was never gonna stop
And the Crusty Crocs went to war for a second time
But Mr Croc was no where to be seen
He sold his company, which he no longer believed in
The squid had a kid, but Croc didn't have a reason
We went back to the treasure cave, but there was no one to get in our way
And yeah we know that he'll be back someday
That snake in my house, the other day he moved out
And is now my next door neighbour with White Lizard and his wife
I shot a bear, It didn't care, and my cat has become nice
And worst of all the other day I saw a horse come back to life
The cockroach in my car, as I approached he locked the door
He said goodbye, I've learned to drive, I'm not pretending anymore
And at the side of the road was a guy I used to know
But he was crying
His snail was dying
That's when he asked, when will the Basilisk's be back
Jakesy's fine, but that's beside the point, 'cos he'll probably go skate
All jokes aside, I'll try 'n' be serious and I hope you feel the same
If it's time to go our separate ways
Then I hope i'll see you again one day
Let's not let this all go to waste
We'll give it a proper shot before it's too late
I guess I'll just have to accept and leave it all behind
The best days of my life, that I'll never forget
And when I'm old and I'm waiting to die
I'd rather regret be filled with regret
From having fun, wasting our time
Looking back I'd do it all again
Instead of been something that we didn't even try
Yeah I can go without kicking and screaming
But I can't say that I won't cry
