Time to revisit a defining moment in my channel's history.

A couple of years ago I made a cover of this track in a way that I hadn't really seen anyone else attempt - it was an arrangement idea that had been rolling around in my head for a long time, even before thinking about YouTube.

I did the best I could with the production knowledge I had attained at the time and am still proud of the original video - but now that I've gotten a bit better with production, I feel comfortable with re-recording and re-releasing this cover.

This was the first cover I had released where I took more than a few steps away from the feeling of the original - it's because I like this track way too damned much and wanted to make it my own.

Some folks likely will not be a fan of the heavier approach to this one in comparison with the ballad style arrangement of the original - but this is the way I personally like to think about the track. I want it to be heavy and hard hitting and emotional and uncanny and still strike that particular nostalgia of arriving in Zeal and hearing this music for the first time.
