So I was originally planning on including a speaking segment in this video, but I always find myself annoyed with music tracks that include such segments - so it's here in the description instead.
a few things:
1.) MOST IMPORTANTLY - I've been receiving complaints from a lot of people in Mexico and Canada about not being able to purchase my covers from digital stores like iTunes and Google Play. This is due to a known issue with the current distributor that I use to get my cover songs licensed and distributed to stores.
As a result, I'm going to be moving my ENTIRE LIBRARY of songs to a new distributor which should allow everyone to buy any song of mine that they like regardless of where you live. You may see a few duplicates of my songs on stores and playlists for a day or two, but other than that it should be mostly painless. Hope this clears some things up!!!
2.) I know this cover was originally pretty divisive and brought forth some pretty intense opinions, but I did see a lot of people asking me for the backing track to sing karaoke to - So here you go. I'm pretty happy with the instrumental and had a lot of fun making it and worked pretty hard on it, so I hope y'all dig it too
3.) I'm a little surprised by the reaction of the recent "how fast can I play" video, and am beginning to consider having more personality-driven / one-off / silly and fun videos like that. Maybe it'll just be a series where I try to play various songs at increasingly fast speeds or something.
Regardless, I'm happy with the reception it's getting and despite appearances, it is nice for me and Rachel to take a break from ONLY making covers every now and then, and I see a lot of new people coming to the channel for the first time as a result. I'd still upload covers every week, this would just be in addition to those.
4.) I'm planning on making some pretty significant life changes in the coming weeks, which may result in me missing a few uploads. My goal is to plan a backlog to circumvent that, but it's still a possibility.
5.) I'm going to be making new merch soon, I swear. No more v-necks this time around lol
